GMAT went okay, not bad but definitely not as bad as I thought. Really increased my score and got accepted to NIU's MBA program. Yeah!

Hi Dean,

I agree the WPAU plugin had some issues, the built-in function in 2.7 however has worked flawlessly so far on both IIS and LAMP (I've been using it daily to upgrade to the nightly builds for testing). Even on my hosted accounts I haven't had any problems, however if you don't have chmod access to your files I could definitely see where that would be a problem...

...Anyway, how did the GMAT go???

Chris, I'm assuming you run WP internally (what platform?), but I've had majour issues with automatic upgrades, specifically the plugin (WPAU) and .htaccess in the base of the installation. I've seen a few of my blogs get completely hosed when running this, especially items in the database. I externally host my WP installs (for $45/year, its just easier) and do not have any ability to connect to the MySQL database. Modifying the .htaccess file is another issue..unfortunately, since its hosted, there is no way to CHMOD the root directory (per their security settings). Thus, mods to .htaccess require emailing a .txt file to our host to reflect the appropriate changes.

With that being said, I do love WP, but wish they would stay on a stable platform for awhile with out the slew of betas so often. I simply do not trust WPAU anymore and usually handle the upgrade with our host as required.
